A message from Tyler’s Public Safety Division President Bryan Proctor

Public safety agencies are on the front lines of the nation’s COVID-19 response. Knowing this, all of us at Tyler Technologies want our clients to know we are here for them as we get through this together.

Support Teams Are Here For You

Our support team is here for you, just like always, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (central) and after hours for emergencies. In addition, valuable information exists for you from Tyler staff and your peers on Tyler U and Tyler Community.

With Tyler U, you can access virtual training courses at any time. With Tyler Community, you can speak to other individuals from public safety agencies using Incode Public Safety solutions.

Tools to Help With COVID-19 Responses

As more and more calls for service come in regarding COVID-19, Incode Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) can help agencies manage. Take a look at the following tips available to help your telecommunicators:

  • Create COVID-19 call types within CAD
    • Highlight different colors to denote level of importance
  • Attach specific notes and action items to calls
    • COVID-19 information can be added to master jackets
    • Set alerts to check attributes
    • Alerts can be set to pertain to people or places impacted by COVID-19
    • Create dashboard to show all cases/incidents
  • Publish reports to share data
Contact support if you have any questions about these tips.

Moving Forward

Incode Public Safety is working with clients going through training and implementation by performing these activities remotely. Clients that request to wait until activities can be onsite are able to postpone until it is safe to do so.

The Incode Public Safety team is working to monitor how effective remote activities are and will be mindful of the need for on-site follow-up appointments in the future.

Feel free to contact us if you have questions about your upcoming activities.
