Awesome Organization
Beltrami County Veterans’ Service, MN

The Beltrami County Veterans Services Office is recognized as an Awesome Organization for launching the Northern Warriors Outreach (NWO) Mobile Claims Unit, the first of its kind in Minnesota. This innovation addresses significant barriers in their large rural area by bringing services directly to veterans. Utilizing VetraSpec, the team can securely process claims, track documents, and update files in real time during outreach events, streamlining what once required multiple office visits into a single meeting. The Mobile Claims Unit immediately connected dozens of veterans who had never before filed for benefits, demonstrating the program's measurable impact and commitment to transforming service delivery.

Exceptional Outreach
Cass County Veterans Service Office, ND

The Cass County Veterans Service Office is honored for its exceptional community engagement, exemplified by its second annual Stand Down event in Fargo. Held on September 11, 2025, the event provided crucial services, including VA enrollment, benefits counseling, and housing support, to 318 attendees, including 185 veterans. Notably, the event saw a 38% growth in veteran turnout compared to the previous year, with significant increases among younger veterans. The Stand Down served as a critical lifeline, connecting 15 previously unconnected veterans with VA services and reinforcing the VSO's role as a trusted advocate and guide in the region.

Innovative Community Support
Outagamie County Veterans’ Service, WI

The Outagamie County Veterans Service Office is recognized for transforming its outreach from transactional to relational through innovative use of technology and mobility. The office successfully deployed a new mobile outreach system, powered by a portable power bank, a laptop, a scanner, and a printer. This setup enabled staff to access veteran records via VetraSpec securely, complete and print necessary VA documents on-site, and utilize Direct Submit for real-time uploads to VBMS, thereby dramatically improving efficiency and relational support at events. Additionally, the office created a Digital Kiosk in-office to help senior veterans access online VA programs, including ID.me and medical documents, while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.

All-Star Community Advocate
Molly S. Weaver-Barry
Kansas Office of Veterans Services, Hays, KS

Molly S. Weaver-Barry is recognized as an All-Star Community Advocate for her deep commitment and effective use of technology in her role as a Mobile VSR. As a Mobile Office driver, Molly is often the first person a veteran encounters, and she develops claims on the spot using Tyler's system to ensure documents are accurate the first time, maintaining an accuracy rate well over 95% for claims approved to be sent to the VA. She supports colleagues by creating a "TYLER cheat sheet" listing all required forms for different claim types and is a dedicated advocate for female veterans. Her genuine care and ability to help veterans understand the complex claims process embody the mission of the Kansas Office of Veterans Services.

Software Superstar
Rob Gardner, American Legion Philadelphia
VA Regional Benefit Office, PA

Rob Gardner is named a Software Superstar for his innovative collaboration with Tyler Technologies to enhance the VetraSpec application. As a 100% P&T Marine veteran, Rob began as an early adopter and quickly became a driving force behind feature development. His feature requests led to key improvements, including the ability to search veterans by email and adding the zip code to the main title bar for easier VA Direct Submit processing. Rob also pioneered the use of visual images in veteran records, such as displaying medals and status, to boost office morale and allow VSOs to quickly grasp a veteran’s service background at a glance.
